Tihai - one of the most commonly used terms in the rhythm (Taal) system of Indian classical music refers to a phrase of certain number of beats which is played three times separated by a fixed interval. The phrase length is typically referred to as Matra and the fixed interval as Gap.
The Tabla Tihai Helper app is developed to help musicians easily understand the concept of tabla and tihai. It provides an unlimited number of tihai patterns for all beat cycles ranging from 4 (Chota Keherva) to 16 (Teen Taal) in including half beat cycles (e.g. 8.5 beat cycle). You can view the tihai patterns and listen to the tabla tihai sound for clear understanding. You can also build your own tihai patterns with the comprehensive list of sample tabla bols provided in the app.
To go with that, you can experience real tabla playing (both left and right handed) and listen to all major rhythms (Taals) in Indian Classical Music along with their bol descriptions.
